One of my favourite subjects to shoot in Europe is scooters set against a backdrop of interesting, old walls.
Growing up in Colorado and California, I didn’t see many of these types of vehicles and, although they are more common in American cities these days, they still seem exotic and interesting to me.
A great example is this lovely red Vespa GTS I encountered in the Barolo village of La Morra, Italy.
I love the juxtaposition of old and new, while the rich, warm red tones simultaneously create a somewhat monochromatic effect.
